Anyone who has known me for any length of time will not find it surprising that last week I voted for Kamala Harris for president, and I hope you as well.
John Scalzi explains why on his blog far better than I ever could—he is an accomplished, award-winning writer, after all—so if you are somehow still undecided on whether you should vote and whom you should vote for, I encourage you to read what he has to say.
Anyone who speaks out against Trump and the GOP nowadays is putting themselves in danger if Trump wins or successfully steals the election. For me that’s especially true, since I work for the executive branch of the federal government (to be clear, I am of course speaking only for myself here). Nevertheless, unlike the owners of the LA Times and Washington Post, I am not a chickenshit coward, so I will continue to vocally oppose Trump and the fascist GOP for as long as necessary.
Today, thanks to Kagi, I learned what Sealioning is, and wow there is so many past conversations where that was applied to me. Usually political debates. Thanks for that! And go Harris!
It was a curious omission, and I was just asking for a simple clarification. The Vice President is the other half of the ticket, a constitutional officer, and one heartbeat away from the presidency. I find that I often get similar reactions from others when they say that they endorse Harris, and I then ask if they really mean that they endorse Harris/Walz.
Sealioning it is.
Do you also endorse Tim Walz for Vice President?
This is a strange question which implies that either you do not understand how the presidential electoral system works in the United States, or you are sealioning. Either way, I choose not to answer.
