Where are the election results?

By | September 26, 2007

The Boston Herald has not bothered to publish the results of yesterday’s preliminary election. The Boston Globe published a news brief about one of the races (the Allston-Brighton City Council seat) but didn’t mention any of the others.

UPDATE: The Herald published the results of the Allston-Brighton preliminary election on Thursday, two days after the election.

The folks at Blue Mass Group were kind enough to publish the results, but one wonders where they got them, because the kicker is that the Boston Elections Department hasn’t published them on its Web site.

UPDATE: It turns out that the results are in fact posted at http://www.cityofboston.gov/, i.e., the city’s home page. They just aren’t posted on the Elections Department’s page. i went straight to the Elections Department’s page this morning and didn’t even think to check the home page. I’ve suggested to the Elections Department that perhaps it would be appropriate for them to have a link to the results on their page as well.
