He’s right! I’m not usually gung-ho about lawsuits, and I think a lot are indeed frivolous. I also think that there are certain types, like anti-tobacco, where the right person hitting the right jury gets a jackpot that really is owed to ALL the victims and not the lucky plaintiff. But here, the fact that there were two cases in two days … and that you, being the second one, were not the benefit of them getting their act together given the first screwup … says that it is a systemic problem. And if you sue, at least you give them something to think about.
The other family claims they’re not looking for a lawsuit, but they did hire a lawyer, so who knows what’ll happen.
