When I look at the content of the “Mallard Fillmore” comic strip, two words inevitably come to mind: “ok boomer.”
Bruce Tinsley, the author of Mallard Fillmore, has a nationwide platform which he mostly uses to publish endless variants of stupid “get off my lawn!” jokes, as befitting someone of his age. If it were just the stupid jokes, I wouldn’t feel an obligation to remove his strip from the aggregator.
But when he’s not shouting “get off my lawn!” Tinsley is promulgating harmful right-wing talking points. He exemplifies everything bad about the baby boomers, everything they’ve done to bring the United States and the world to the brink of destruction.
He is welcome to his opinions, but I’m not going to help distribute them. Mallard Fillmore has therefore been removed from my comics aggregator.
