Over the years, Pastis has run many strips whose basic theme can be summarized as “Both sides in American politics are the same.” He ran one like that just a few weeks ago. Then, yesterday, he ran this:

Frame 1:
Extra 1: Hey, Goat. How are you?
Goat: Good. I was just listening to this really good Joe Rogan podcast where he interviews—
Frame 2:
Extra 1: You listen to Joe Rogan?
Extra 2: Why you little right wing piece of—
Extra 3: Defend your podcast listening choices!
Frame 3:
Goat: What is happening in this world?
Barista: I'm taking your latte. We don't serve your kind.
“Pearls Before Swine” for November 21, 2022

If you have a national platform to opine about the state of our country, and even now, in 2022, with everything that has happened in the last six years, you use it to suggest that the American left is just as bad as the right, or to mock the idea that people who listen to incredibly destructive influencers like Joe Rogan should face some social opprobrium, you are very much part of the problem, and I want nothing to do with you.
