That clinches it: the Democrats *are* trying to lose the election

In an earlier blog entry, I asked just what the hell is the matter with the Democratic party that is preventing them from figuring out the whole Florida / Michigan mess. It was bad enough that Democratic Florida state senators were threatening to remove the Democratic nominee from the ballot in November if their delegation wasn’t seated. But now, it’s gotten even worse: Florida lawmakers have sued Howard Dean and the DNC, alleging that they are violating the equal protection provisions of the U.S. Constitution and the Voting Rights Act by refusing to recognize the state’s Jan. 29 presidential primary.

Good grief!

Are they such idiots that they don’t understand that the primary is not a national election and that the laws they’ve cited as the grounds for their suit therefore do not apply?

Are they such idiots that they don’t understand that what they’re doing is hurting the party’s chances of winning in November?

Every Democrat in the country should be embarrassed.
