Boston Herald shares the blame for cash-starved government programs

By | April 13, 2015

To: Letters to the Editor, the Boston Herald
Subject: Witness protection vs. taxes

To the editors:

Your investigative report about the underfunded witness protection program fails to mention the crucial detail that  you are part of the problem.

Witness protection programs across the state are suffering, just as virtually all Massachusetts state and local government programs are suffering, because the state and cities are not taking in enough tax revenue to adequately fund the services that people want.

Perhaps things would be different if the Herald hadn’t been pounding the drum of lower taxes for as long as anyone can remember.

Sincerely,

Jonathan Kamens
