I recently switched from Speakeasy DSL and a Verizon land line to Comcast High-Speed Internet and their Digital Voice® local phone service. The executive summary is that I’m very happy so far.

Boston Public Schools attendance policy is discriminatory
The Boston Public Schools attendance policy states that absences due to religious holidays are excused. See page 14 of the 2007-2008 Guide to the Boston Public Schools. Why I was almost late to work this morning
Continuing the theme of the day… I coded and submitted an enhancement to INN’s “makehistory” program to support throttling by load average, so that my computer at home won’t be completely hosed for a half hour after every unclean shutdown and restart while makehistory rebuilds my news history file.
Voting in Boston on September 11?
I drove through Union Square in Allston tonight, and there were several signs up telling people to vote in elections on September 11. Say what?
