GoComics rolled out a new version of their web site last night which broke the comics aggregator. I’ve fixed it.
UPDATE [2022-02-06]: I’m fairly certain nothing in this blog posting is needed anymore with the current version of Synology’s NAS software (DSM). The comics aggregator is now accessed over SSL at the new URL https://comics.kamens.us/.
TL;DR if you suddenly start getting “uninitialized constant” errors and your jobs aren’t running, then check and make sure you haven’t accidentally connected the wrong app to your Resque queue.
The Dilbert comic strip by Scott Adams has been banned from the comics aggregator. I will not in any way support or involve myself with someone who writes stuff like this. If you don’t see why it’s so bad, please read this commentary. If you still don’t get it, please go elsewhere for your comics. Thanks.
